As I'm presently lying in bed, listening to my thousandth "warm Paris night with 1950's jazz playing in another room" video, I realized I've never told y'all the habits I have that bring more sparkle to my life. So, let's do that.

I just read a disturbing article, again about the great relationship recession, but we need to discuss. Not only did a study of British men conclude that women are the issue because we "demand too much," but this has now caused an uptick in men now seeking out something called "virtual partners." Approximately 15% of the men surveyed stated that they have interacted with either an AI or virtual partner. I'm still horrified, clearly because I'm writing this while in my land use class, but we need to discuss.

How many times have you heard of 'ride or die friends'? Those friendships that no matter what you are to be the best and dutiful friend. Well they sound wonderful right? WRONG. Here's my take: they're a lovely label on a toxic thing. Let me explain.

After going on another disastrous round of dates, I feel like I should focus on filling my life with fun things instead of trying to find someone who could fit in with my life. I ran out of things to talk about, I mean to be fair he didn't contribute to the conversation, but it made me think about how I am looking for something to add to my life. 

Do they work? Can they be trusted? How? Well, I've tried them for about a month, so let's talk about it.

Remember when the internet felt like you had to be at the right place and the right time? Like it was a bunch of secret pockets that you had to be aware of. The internet wasn't over-saturated with content creators and ads. It wasn't curated to get you to make a purchase. It was just random, almost secret, blogs, youtubers, and Tumblr posts. There was obscure message boards and strange blogs.  And they were messy and strange, but most of all very real.

I was very fortunate to go on vacation with my family and we went on Celebrity's Beyond Cruise for a week. The boat went to Nassau, St. Thomas, and St. Maartan. 

I know, I've been MIA, but I'm back. And now it's summer! So what are my plans?

I figure that because law school is a big part of my life, I should probably tell you about it. My law school experience is very different, I feel very out of place, and I don't want to work at a big law firm at the end of it. And that is okay.

I read an article the other day about the decline in the feeling of wanting to get married. And I realized that maybe some of my thoughts of the institution were being reflected in other people across the country.
